Dominant Aryna Sabalenka Wins Back-to-Back WTA Top Player Honors.

The tennis star in action
Aryna Sabalenka finished the season with an impressive twenty-three to three Grand Slam match record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight year.

The twenty-seven-year-old captured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – including successfully defending the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of Consistency

Throughout the year, Sabalenka played in a tour-best nine finals, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also won the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the entire year as the world number one, finishing 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she became the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Numbers

Sabalenka ended the competitive year with a 63-12 win-loss record, and earned a historic ÂŁ11m in prize money.

She garnered nearly eighty percent of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

On 28 December, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match in a bid to "elevate women's tennis to a higher level".
